Situated in the heart of the city, Raffles Dubai enjoys the perfect location just 10 minutes from Dubai International Airport, connected to Wafi Mall, Dubai’s premium lifestyle and entertainment complex with a designated Kids Zone as well as a short drive from Downtown Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall.
Also starting a hotel review section for Hotel and Properties we’ve visited in the past. Instead of making it long winded we will try to cover five basic points. If anyone needs to learn about something specific do get in touch with us.
Getting to Raffles from the airport is incredibly easy, especially due to Dubai Airport’s wonderful cab system. As with every international destination we visit, we booked an uber (free wifi at Dubai airport) and were at the grand entrance in 15 minutes flat. Short ride and first look at the pyramid sends shivers down your spine. Adjoining the Wafi Mall, location cannot be bested by many.
As frequent travelers within India, we’ve been spoilt silly by exceptional levels of service. Indian hospitality has a way of making guests feel incredibly special and we seldom find its likeliness Internationally. The service at Raffles took us by surprise and it was one of the best service experiences we’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Front desk was professional, quick and not too cluttered, housekeeping was amazing and very generous when it came to giving extras like water bottles, complimentary chocolates, toiletries etc and interacting with management was a pleasure. They actually bought a stroller for our child in a few hours after we suggested that will be a nice addition, who does that!
Hotel and Room Facilities
Their lobby is done up with Egyptian themes and is gorgeous. We initially opted for a club room which was quite spacious and a cute balcony with an absolutely gorgeous view of Dubai’s skyline. It had a weird smell though so promptly, we were moved to their ultra-plush diplomatic suite which is the most luxurious stay we’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing. It was huge, very tastefully done up and its balcony could host a mini cricket match! I still remember sitting in the balcony 11pm at night drinking in Dubai’s night while sipping a glass of wine and praying hard for this vacation to never end. The bathroom had a jacuzzi instead of a deep soaking tub in rooms which we made ample use of. The hotels swimming pool also has an attached jacuzzi which are a pleasure to experience.
Food & Drink
Exceptional, without question. Breakfast out of the world with Hummus, muesli, home made blackberry yogurt. Cheese and egg preparations brilliant. Real winner was their hummus which was so fresh, delicious and light that we simply couldn’t get enough.
The best Club we’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing anywhere in the world. Warm, personal service with great wit and humor, delicious innovative cocktails , great snacks, lovely view and truly exemplifying service with a smile. We been to quite a few club’s across the world but none have been able to match our experience at the Raffles, Absolutely worth spending the extra money to upgrade.
